Bret Hart - For the Love of Wrestling

Wrestling remains a special form of sports entertainment that continues to link generations. This was evident at Europe’s biggest wrestling convention, ‘For the Love of Wrestling’, which visited Liverpool’s Exhibition Centre for two days over the weekend.

The arena was buzzing with fans of all generations, all there for the common goal – to have fun. Wrestling has continued to attract some of the most loyal and fun loving fans, evident from the young girl dressed as The Undertaker, to the woman walking past proudly wearing her giant gold wrestling belt. That’s not to mention some of the fantastic cosplay fan costumes from Hulk Hogan to Legion of Doom.

Crowds were gathered, enraptured as wrestling legends Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart, ‘The Million Dollar Man’ Ted DiBiase, ‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan and Jimmy Hart entered the ring once again, this time for an interview about their illustrious careers.

They were followed by superstars Ric Flair, Booker T, Eric Bischoff, Sid ‘Vicious’, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash recalling their earlier days as wrestling giants.

Ever shrouded in mystery, The Undertaker was hidden behind a giant screen and could only be seen by die-hard fans willing to queue for the chance to meet the ultimate wrestling anti- hero.

Fans also had the chance to have their photographs taken with their favourite wrestlers including Chris Jericho, Brutus ‘The Barber’ Beefcake, Marty Jannetty and Barbara ‘Kelly Kelly’ Blank to name a few.

Collectors also had an array of unique wrestling memorabilia to choose from such as wrestling belts, artwork, comic books and rare wrestling figures from years gone by. An area was also set up for visitors to try out wrestling video games from various eras in gaming history.
