The Everyman & Playhouse Theatres are calling for submissions to be part of a digital journey through the Liverpool City Region.

Love, Liverpool: An A-Z of Hope will feature stories of Liverpool, delivered through a series of weekly letters.

From first loves to friendships, the Everyman and Playhouse would love to hear your stories of Liverpool.

You can submit a summary of your memorable stories, write a poem about the city or share your memories of Liverpool in a monologue.

Your submissions will be put together to create a journey through memories and feelings attached to the streets of the city.

Love Liverpool: An A-Z of Hope will place audiences in a different place in the city, as they explore stories submitted by the public and commissioned local artists.

Artists already commissioned include Amina Atiq, Luke Barnes, Mandy Redvers-Rowe and Chloe Moss.

Friends of the Everyman and Playhouse will also make an appearance providing digital ‘picnics’ – insights from famous faces sharing anecdotes of Liverpool or just a message of love to the city.

Gemma Bodinetz, Artistic Director of Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse Theatres, said:

“With our buildings in Lockdown we wanted to create an opportunity to interact with our audiences, communities and artists. Love, Liverpool is a digital project that we hope the whole city will want to enjoy. It’s a digital geographical journey of memories through the city and along the route we’ve asked some rather special people to provide some digital picnics and literary inspiration”.

Submissions for Love, Liverpool: An A-Z of Hope are open from 5pm on Wednesday 6th May 2020.

Short summaries of a story, poems and monologues about Liverpool should be submitted before 5pm on Wednesday 13th May 2020.

The Everyman and Playhouse Team will then select a number of stories to be included in the project.
