The Spiegeltent announce their 2019 festive season of events, including activities for all generations and one of their biggest programmes to date.
Debuting in Liverpool, Christmas Spiegeltent will be located in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle area and Cains Brewery Village District. It will be situated adjacent to the Baltic Market and opposite to Northern Lights and Tusk Baltic.
Dub poet, musician and Peaky Blinders actor Benjamin Zepahaniah will launch the Christmas Spiegeltent on Thursday 28th November 2019. A truly incredible performer, the show follows the release of his critically acclaimed album Revolutionary Minds earlier this year.
Fans of jazz and swing music are in for a treat, with White Mink: Electro Swing Saturday. Let vintage harmonies and incredible live jazz whisk you away on an unforgettable night out this November 30th.
If that wasn’t enough, you can join the Mersey Swing ‘Spitfire Sunday’ Dance Workshop on 1st December. Dust off your dancing shoes and meet other swing fans as you learn the steps from professional choreographers.
Tired from all that dancing? Then sit back, relax and enjoy the Hollywood Classic Singing in the Rain on Wednesday 11th December. Accompanied by projection mapping, light and live dance performances complimenting the action on screen, the event also includes a two course meal prior to the film.
The legendary Sunday Socials return as part of Christmas Spiegeltent, with family friendly events that include delicious three course meals, live music and performance.
Liverpool musician, writer and actor Levi Tafari opens the first Sunday Social on Sunday 8th December, followed by a Live set from Positive Vibration Festival DJs.
The Special’s Jerry Dammers will join the Sunday Social on 15th December, curating music from his vast collection during his highly anticipated DJ set.
There’s more family fun during the Christmas Spiegeltent Programme, with the Cabaret and Disco on Saturday 14th December. Featuring spectacular showpiece performances and a family disco, this is perfect fun for all the family.
There will also be a baby disco for children aged five and younger on Saturday 7th December.
